It’s December: Reflecting on an Extraordinary Year at TKC Digital

2023 has been a very special year for us at TKC Digital as we celebrated our 15th anniversary. But that’s not all—this year was packed with incredible milestones, numbers, and fun facts that we’d love to share with you.

Team TKC Grew by 40%!

In 2023, we welcomed 18 new colleagues to our team:

  • 11 content consultants
  • 3 business consultants
  • 2 technical consultants
  • 1 office manager

This brings our total to an amazing 47 TKC’ers!

We Love a Good Celebration

We’re big fans of events! This year we organized:

  • KMM#22 with 150 attendees
  • Solve Goes Dutch with 40 clients
  • The famous Annual Customer Contact Quiz
  • Our very own Reunite Festival at Thuishaven in Amsterdam

Our goal? To inspire you, connect you with like-minded professionals, and create opportunities to learn from one another—all while having a bit of fun.

In 2024, we’ll continue hosting amazing events, including Service Tomorrow. Will we see you there? Keep an eye on our events page for updates.

We also value team spirit and hosted several team-building activities:

  • Sports events like paddleboarding
  • A group ride on the Python rollercoaster at Efteling
  • A beach party
  • A barbecue hosted by our in-house BBQ expert, Sjoerd
  • And, of course, a celebratory dinner for our 15th anniversary

Not to mention our quarterly business meetings and team gatherings.

We love our clients, and we hope they love us too! A special shoutout to NS, a loyal client since the very beginning. This year, we welcomed 9 new clients and worked on 50 projects across various organizations.

ChatGPT Takeaways

ChatGPT was a hot topic in 2023—and for us too! Here are our key takeaways for getting started with ChatGPT in your organization:

  1. Start small.
  2. Be mindful of which company data ChatGPT can access.
  3. Define your goals clearly.
  4. Know why you want to use ChatGPT.
  5. Set ambitions and objectives.
  6. Create a roadmap for implementation.
  7. Establish usage guidelines.
  8. Remember: garbage in, garbage out.

But most importantly: experiment and explore!

Stay tuned, as we’re working on a ChatGPT proposition to wrap up 2023. This includes a presentation on generative AI and its benefits, along with advice on how to use AI for knowledge management, content, and development.

Our Favorite Word

In 2023, Tinky introduced the phrase #hoeleukisdat (“how cool is that”). It even became a hashtag! How cool is that?

Our Go-To Lunch Spot

Our favorite lunch spot? Grand Café de Kerkbrink, conveniently located right next to our office. On Tuesdays, the market in front of our office is also a popular choice for lunch.

Talent Analysis for All Colleagues

Our team is made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds, interests, experiences, and talents. This year, everyone at TKC completed a TMA profile—a tool that provides insights into talents and competencies based on 300 questions.

This not only helps us understand each other better but also reveals what energizes us and how we can use these insights for client projects and career development at TKC.

KPN Goes Live with Oracle Knowledge Management

This year, we launched Oracle’s knowledge management solution OKA, with the knowledge base named JIP. Hundreds of KPN employees are now using it, and the initial feedback has been very positive.

Excited About Our Partnership with eGain

eGain, a knowledge management specialist, helps us offer clients a best-in-class solution. After attending Solve: AI and Knowledge Management in London, we brought the event to the Netherlands, where it was a hit with 40 attendees.

Our Favorite Coffee

The ultimate winner? Melange 4 by Coffee Knowledge Company B.V. This coffee was crowned the favorite after a tasting session to determine which brew TKC’ers liked best.
